Please join us for the CIMED Research Day, in conjunction with the Koster Memorial Lecture and Reception, on the afternoon of May 20, 2013 in the Farrell Learning and Teaching Center. Please email Paula Reynolds [paula@wustl.edu] to register and to submit a poster.

There will be a poster session from 2:00-4:00 in the FLTC Atrium space. Posters are welcomed from any interested members of the community, including both trainees and faculty. Prizes for the best poster are offered in 3 categories. The introductory comments for the Koster Memorial Lecture will begin at 4:00 pm in Connor auditorium, and a reception will follow immediately after the lecture in the Hearth area at ~5:30 pm.

Dr. W. Jonathan Lederer from the University of Maryland School of Medicine will be the Koster lecturer with a seminar, title “Metabolism, Mechanics and Muscular Dystrophies: X-ROS meets Excitability”.

Poster session details:
The poster session, with refreshments, is scheduled from 2:00-4:00 in the FLTC Atrium. Posters are welcomed from any members of the center, including both trainees and faculty. Prizes valued at $100 each will be presented to the best poster in each of the following three categories. In each category, the first author should be the presenter. The prize categories will be as follows:

  • Pre-Doctoral – includes graduate, undergraduate, technicians.
  • Post-Doctoral – includes post-Doctoral trainees and post-Doc staff members, up to and including Instructor position.
  • Translational – includes either of the above categories and will be judged with additional criteria of translational relevance.

Abstracts should be in Arial font, formatted as Title, Authors, Dept. affiliation, Body (Body<300 words) and submitted to paula@wustl.edu. Abstract submission is now open and will close to prize applicants at 5:00 pm, May 13th, 2013.
